Going Good... One More Day!!!

Okay, so I have called most of you, but for those that I have not here is the scoop. So besides the fact that I almost threw up in my car on the way to the airport from being so nervous, the job interview went surprisingly well. The Sr Div Manager and the Div Manager both picked me up from the airport and we stopped to get some coffee (me, hot chocolate) and then we headed to the office. There they gave me a quick tour and then it was down to business. They drilled me for about an hour, but it was very laid back and both of them are great guys, and I think I would work well with both of them. Anyway, they did just about everything but offer me the job, as that has to go through HR. They even took the time before we left to show me an empty office and expressed that it would be my office if I got the job... so I'm dropped off at the airport and not even 20 minutes later I get a call from my HR Rep in Kansas City. He proceeds to tell me that they want me to interview with one of the PM's for that division that works in KC tomorrow morning. The great thing is, I know the gal and she thinks very highly of me... so that takes a bit of the pressure off there. So I asked my HR rep what he thought and he said they would not be interested if they were having me meet with her tomorrow and that this should be the last leg in the process, so I'm hoping I will find out something tomorrow.... so anyway, I'm very excited as this would be my break... would totally boost my career, and they even told me that this position is ranked even higher than the one I originally applied for, how cool is that. Anyway, I'm done with that for the moment... hope to see some of you at Rachel's b-day party tomorrow night. Hope all are well! Love ya all! Trevor

Cowboy Country

So I had an interview today for the RTM position, but this one was for Nashville, and not Florida... go figure, I know. Anyway, I didn't think it went well, only to find out about an hour later, that they want to fly me out to Nashville on Thursday to interview with the other hiring manager. I was like, huh? So anyway, very excited... can't wait to go out there, even if I don't get the job it is a free day in Nashville on the company. Anyway, had to write real quick, hope all are well, see ya! Trev

WTF! Mother Nature is a Bioch!

Okay, so ya know, I was all excited this year because we were having a real Fall season finally... I mean, we haven't had one in years... and then all the sudden, mother nature decides to be a druggie and get FREAKIN HIGH! So today it got up to 70 degrees, beautiful day, and now the weather says it is going to rain and ice and get down to 20 or so degrees tomorrow... gradual change of seasons?!? I think NOT!

I'm Stuffed!

So another year is almost over, and the first of the two annual 'Stuffing of the Face' holidays are over. This year we had a smaller group, but the portions were just as big as those in the past. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday! Below are some pictures from Thanksgiving and Thanksmas! See ya all! T

The Purple Get Shot Down

So Saturday was an eventful day. Jason had this crazy idea to have a bar-b-q to watch the KU/K-State football game yesterday. I at first thought maybe Jason had some odd need for having people rub it in his face that his team was going to get their ass kicked... to my surprise... the tables were turned. I don't quite remember the final score, but it was pretty bad, and K-State was on the losing end.
Aside from the purple blood-stained field on TV, we did eat pretty well. Jason made Beer-Butt chicken and everyone else brought something. We were stuffed and ready for for a nap before the 1st quarter was even over. But it was a fun time, and those of you that were not present, were missed... Rachel even made bon bons... they were yummy!
Today Jason put up some of his Christmas lights on the house... and I even helped... well, define help I guess. I stood outside with a smoke in one hand and my phone in the other. I was basically there to call 911 in the event that Jason fell off the roof, which he didn't, so all was good. I did throw a few strands of lights and some light clips up to him... so I did help a bit.
Well, that is it for this update. Oh, and for those that were still wondering, I'm still waiting to hear from the folks in FL... and yes, it is driving me CRAZY waiting... go figure... :-) Hope all are well!

Florida???

So as most of you know, Trevor is up for a possible new job at Block. A little over a month ago I applied for a RTM (Regional Technology Manager) position at Block... not hearing from anyone for over a month I assumed I was not a good pick, but to my surprise (should have known as our HR department takes forever sometimes) I got a phone call two weeks ago, and did a second phone interview last week. Should find out this week if they want me to do a formal interview down in FL. Plam Beach, FL to be exact... go figure. Anyway, needed to update the blog... so here she be... :-)

One Day Left

So there is only one day of vacation left. Honestly as sick as it sounds, I'm ready to go back to work... how the hell do you people do it... I mean seriously, a whole week off? Who came up with that idea? Don't get me wrong, the first two days were great... slept in a bit, did some consulting, but now I'm on day 4. What did I do today? Hmmm... well let's see, slept till 11am... and I wasn't even hung over. Then I get up... have some breakfast, then wait around and go have some lunch... then come home and I've been watching movies ever since... yes, some would say, hey Trevor, why don't you just do something, well what the hell am I supposed to do? Anyway, as you can see, nothing for me to do... so I'm updating the blog, not once, but twice in the same 24 hour period. Anyway, hope all are well.

MySpace - I know... but it kept calling my name

Okay,
So I have started to get a bit bored in my week off, and I finally broke down and joined the MySpace thingi... so yes, I now have a MySpace, but no worries... I plan on keeping this blog, but you should all go to my MySpace page and if you havn't already joined DO IT!!! I need more friends on my page... as yes, that is the most important part of being on MySpace is seeing how much crap you can slam on your homepage and how many friends you have linked to your page... I'm telling you, if I didn't have a full-time job, I think I would become a MySpace junkie as it is just that depressingly addictive... anyway, hope all are well... here is the link to my MySpace page... http://www.myspace.com/tman1982a

Talk to ya all later!!! Trev

Escape from Corporate America

So it has been a little over a year now working in the green-tinted glass oval downtown. What a year it has been. I must admit, I have finally accepted the fact that I'm a blue-collar corporate American. And after all that, I'm taking my first full weeks vacation, and not just the first at Block, but the first ever.
I have to admit, I almost changed it to just a day or two, but what the hell, the hours have built up, and I'm taking a whole 40 of them. Oh, and speaking of the job, found out Friday that I got a raise, effective immediately. Was very excited, as it has been a year since my last one.
No big plans for the week off. Do have a couple of consulting jobs scheduled, slowing building up the client base one client at a time. Was going to take a vacation and travel someplace for the week, but just couldn't decide on a destination that would be fun with just me. Maybe next spring, as there are tons of places I'd like to go, just not enough time to plan a trip for 1.
Jason seems to think I should do a couple of things around the house (again, his house), like paint the ceiling in my room, but, ya know, I just don't think that is going to happen. Not just the fact that I despise hard labor, but painting, I mean, I'd honestly rather pick up shit in the yard than paint. The kitchen is coming along great, he has been painting and putting up crown molding all weekend. I'm telling you, I never thought he would have as much accomplished without hiring a contractor has he has.
So for those that don't know, Trevor is back in school. Yes, that is right, a real college. I'm doing the online Distance Learning program through University of Phoenix. So far I'm a week into it and I LOVE IT! I actually just finished and turned in an assignment. The greatest part is I can work on it at anytime during the day, at my leisure. I'm very excited about the whole thing. If things go as planned, I should have my associates in the spring of 2008. We'll see where things go from there.
Well, it is getting late, and I have my first consulting appointment early tomorrow morning. Hope all are well! Love you all!

Trevor Goes to Manhattan, No, Could It Be?

Okay, so it has been awhile since I have updated the Wine Glass Diaries, I admit, but life just goes to fast sometimes... I know, excuses, but hey, that's what I do best. So anyway, the latest set of pictures are from my one-night stay in Manhattan with my K-State girls. I must say, aside from myself, they are the hostests with the mostests!
I arrived in Manhattan to be greeted by my one and only Ginger, Crissy. Who was running behind just like me, and the main clue was the fact that her hair had more clips and curlers in it than Manhattan has hicks... I know, that's a lot :-)
Tracy shortly showed up after I arrived and I chatted on the stairs as I awaited their the completion of their grooming rituals before we went out. We had a great dinner at Old Chicago where Emily and her friend Heather (I think, if I'm wrong, sorry) joined us for some drinks. There were also several Army boys party'n at the bar, which Crissy was able to snap a photo of, not all that cute, but they sure did try...

After a few drinks at Old Chicago we headed back to Crissy and Tracy's place so they could complete their grooming rituals for Part 2 of the evening. Eric (Crissy's boyfriend) was doing the sound for a band that his uncle plays in, so we were planning on going out and watching them play (and do some Boy watching of my own of course). And boy did I watch...

This particular hottie spent about 5 minutes trying to light our outdoor heater that hung above our heads while we sipped (well I chugged of course) our drinks. And what service, I must say, yummm yummmm... gotta love these college boys, dumb as a doornail but hot as a cattle prod... and a good bartender as well...

As you can see, Heather always keeps her eyes closed when cameras take pictures of her, trust me, I have like 10, all the same... I was tempted to just paint eye balls on her eye lids, but she is just as cute with her eyes closed as she is with her eyes open... Tracy was taking this picture, so she isn't in it visually, but totally there in spirit... oh, and speaking of Tracy, boy was she lit when we left, I have another picture of the two of us, but a little too drunk to post... anyway, the evening was well worth the drive to cattle town, and I'm told everyone else had fun as well. To my ladies of K-State, thank you for a great weekend. Hope all are well...

JOCO Meets Arkansas Wilderness

So I must admit, I'm not really what most call the 'Camping' kinda guy. I mean, yes, we have gone camping in High School and all, but that usually consisted of going out to the woods on a Friday night, loading up the truck with booze and drinking all night. Tents were usually not involved, afterall, who needs a tent when you can sleep in the back of the truck or in the cab of the car? So when we decided to go camping for more than just 24 hours, I must admit, it did scare me a little.
So after numerous web searches for a place to camp, and a very expensive trip to Cabella's and Dick's Sporting Goods, I was ready to go. Gear and all, bring it on Mother Nature, I'm ready for ya. Did I mention that I forgot half the stuff I was going to pack in the first place?
We rolled into the KOA Campgrounds, located 4 miles outside of Eureka Springs, AR around 5pm. We had the camp setup in under an hour as well. I am also proud to say that I setup my tent all by myself... well, Jason helped, but hey, I've never set one up before, but I would call myself a semi-pro now.
For Dinner we enjoyed a compliment of chips and salsa (made by Jason's mom) andHotdogs and Brats. A feast made for gods let me tell ya. But it was yum yum. And even though on Vacation, I turned in around 10pm I think... I know it was early, but slept like a baby, a snoring baby I was told, but slept great.

The next morning I woke up around 7am and ofcourse woke everyone else up so we could start breakfast. Jason cooked us some eggs with cheese and bacon. Yum yum! Woo Hoo! We hung around camp for awhile and Jason and Andrew played a little frisbee and then we were off for the river, as no camping trip is complete (I was told) without a float trip down the river.

So yes, I got in a boat that has no motor or deck on it. And I even managed not to tip us over, on more than one occasion. It was a blast. We actually floated down the river over 7 miles, in under 4 hours. And it was beautiful, I've never seen water so clear in a river. The first 6 miles you could see the bottom of the river and all the fish-life the whole way down the river. And talk about a busy place, I think it took longer navigating around all the fisherman in the river than it did just getting to the end. Lots of hicks... never seen so many, but all very nice.

After we left the canoe trip we went back to camp and took a quick rest before heading into the Historic Eureka Springs. And what a town. It was so cool. The downtown was amazing. Curvey little narrow streets with shops and resturants everywhere. All the old buildings preserved. Was a great time, think next time we will have to come and stay in town for a few days and explore. I could spend hours and many a dollars in that little town.

We finished off the evening with Jason cooking up a feast for us. Our main course consisted of his amazing Beer-Butt Chicken. We had a side of potatoes and to finish things off... He made this awesome Cherry Thingi... and yes, that is the technical name... it was cherry pie filling heated up in a dutch oven and then cinnamon rolls cooked on the top. Amazing stuff... let me tell ya. We woke up the next morning and Emily made us french toast and bacon.

After we stuffed our faces on breakfast we packed up camp and headed back for home. Must say, a great weekend and can't wait to come back next year. Yes, I said it, I actually do want to leave the city, no computer, and stay outside with the bugs, birds and god knows whatelse for 2-3 days... I know... I'll go take my pills now... starting to get delirious again. :-) Thanks for going Jason, Emily and Andrew! Was a blast! More photos can be found at http://www.tmanwebzone.com

Another Wedding - Jess and Bryan

So what a fab night! I had a blast. Jessica and Bryan have now also tied the knot. The ceremony was great, under an hour! Woo hoo. The reception was held at Lake Quivera Country Club, same place as Doug and Rachel's one year prior. And of course, the best part, open bar (beer and wine). I havn't had that much wine in a 4 hour period in a long time, but they kept pooring it and I didn't want to be rude, so I kept drinking it. It was a wonderful party! And what a cute couple.

Everyone was there. Was a great evening. And no one was caught peeing on the trees in the parking lot. So a double plus for Justin.

After we left everyone came back to Jason's and we hung out and chatted. Was fun for all. I mean I can't remember the last time I drank over a whole bottle of wine, saw Crissy's boobs and had Crissy moon us through the front window. Good times ;-) Oh, and for those that want to see all the pictures I have... click this link. When you click on the pictures you will get them in full format, so you can print them if you want! Wishin, and Dreaming, Planning & Prayin - Wedding Time

So Andrew and Emily finally did it... the knot has been tied, and 2 have become one. I must say, most that know me know that I usually am not the most positive person with it comes to weddings, but I must say, this one was ok. Although the church as pretty impressive, and I did feel like I was a character in the DiVinci Code while sitting in the pew... but it was a great service, their priest keep us awake, and did you know, that the bride and groom got to sit down most of the ceremony. Tell me about a win win situation. Anyway, they looked great, and I must say, they are what you call, the perfect couple. I laughed, I even cried a bit, it was a good night for a wedding. I wish them both years and years of happiness.

Ginger Nights

So been a great stress-free week. Crissy stopped by after work today to watch the South Park 'Ginger' episode that Jason said we had, and yet, we didn't... hmmm... what a bitch (Jason)... always telling you one thing, yet you have no clue if he is telling the truth... lol... anyway, got to have a night with my Ginger... we went out to the OP and had a few... Justin joined us as well, after all, who else is going to bring Crissy smokes? :-)

So this week has been fun... felt like I was so growing up this week even more though. Had a job interview scheduled at work for another position next week... lots more money, and I mean, LOTS... different field though within IT... so I actually lost sleep over thinking about it, and came to the realization that the job I have now, pays good, and I love it... hmmm... why the hell would I want to switch then... yes, the money would be great, and the potential to move up in the company faster would be possible, but came to the fact that I love my boss, I like the people I work with, and to top it all off, I get up each and every morning and actually look forward to going to work... yes, some may call this a sickness, I guess I'm going to call it 'Happy' for now.

Anyway, have to get to bed... hello to all, can't wait to see you Jess!!! Her wedding is like next month or something... I'm relying on Rachel, my make-shift date (cause Doug is in the wedding)... to remind me about it... have a great weekend all! T

oooooo.....ahhhhhhh

Happy 4th of July everyone... so this was a good one... had the whole day off... did absolutely nothing pretty much, then Millie and I went out to the Lake and watched the fireworks with Mom and Dad and Bob and Pat... as always, what a show... for those of you that don't know, and actually care... one of our lake resident's actually puts on the show on the dam every year, he does a lot of other big events and boy does he do a good job, and the boats, there had to be at least 50 of them out near the damn... anyway, now it is over and back to work tomorrow... fun fun, just 3 days until moving day at work.

Into Missouri we go...with a short stop at the Ozarks

So Crissy invited us up to the Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend... was a nice pre-4th of July weekend... and I even started reading a book, I know... crazy... Trevor... reading... seriously, good book. We went down Friday night and Rachel drove us. We got there and hung out in front of the fire for a while and then were off to bed. As we awoke on Saturday, it was lots of fun in the sun. I must say, I only access to technology that I had was my iPod and the digital camera... and I can't believe I was so relaxed... thanks Crissy... gotta love it. We had a newbie with us, Calvin, Justin's friend from school. And as everyone agreed, a hottie as well... but I think he is taken, so the girls just had to look, no touch. :-) After the fun out in the sun that morning, Crissy and Calvin decided they were going to go cliff jumping, as much fun as they appeared to have, I think we had more yelling from the boats below waiting for them to jump. Kinda funny, I think that we were out there for about 30 minutes, and during that time, Crissy and Calvin jumped 2 times, and the 10 and 12 year olds that kept behind them went probably 8 or 9 times... but I have to give them credit, they did jump... as the day neared an end, we gathered around the fire again and ate our smores... while Justin and Calvin, like little kids with a new toy on Christmas decided to see what all they could melt in the fire... I think it is a penis thing, but whatever.. LOL... they did melt a beer bottle and reform it, and I must admit, I thought it was pretty cool... although really, burning just about anything can be cool. Overall, it was a fun weekend, and I enjoyed myself. Thanks again Crissy for hosting and Rachel for driving. Oh, and I have all of these pictures and others available if anyone wants them, just shoot me an email and I'll send you the gallery link. Anyway, fun fun fun!

So today was such a good day... yes... that's right... today I said goodbye to the Missouri plates (2 of them by the way, I mean come on... they know your from Missouri when you are coming and going, which is good, need to know where those Missouri drivers are) and said hello to my beautiful JOCO plates! OMG... been so long, but I swear... my car is driving so much better... :-) Anyway, yea!!!!!!!!

Random Update Time

So what is with the damned weather... is it going to rain, is it cold, is it hot... hmmm.... who knows. Anyway, so update... I got a new desk last night... so much better... nice and big, and Doug and Rachel came over and helped me put it together... and Jason helped too. So I'm in heaven and a true computer nerd again... Got both computers and the TV all in the office now... woo hoo! Anyway, so Father's day was fun... got to go out to the lake and see Dad. He is finally back in town (been in CA since March sometime). He is real glad to be home. And we are so happy he is home too! Crystal, Al, Dawn and Larry also came out, so we hung out and ate way to much. Gotta love it.

So I havn't seen Brian in like a week! Crazy! He is has been real busy with Work and full-time summer school... yuk! Anyway, bout all for now. Work is great, busy, but great. Move to the new building in just 2 1/2 weeks! So excited! Did I mention I have this Thursday and Friday off? Well, I do... so ha! Anyway, gotta get back to more computer nerd crap.

Moving, the Other Workout

Brian has a new home... yes, today he finally was able to get the keys and move on in. Although, the whole move on in part isn't 100% complete, but he's getting there... went over this afternoon and helped move the rest of his boxes in... now just have to move all the big stuff... yuk! But must be a done... very nice place though, no pictures to go with (I know... left the camera at home, and who wants to see photos of an empty apartment, right...) but oh well... no email going out on this one, didn't think it was interesting enough to spam everyone on... so yes, your all welcome... ;-) Tomorrow's Friday!!!

Thanks to everyone that went out... had a blast!

Mutant Fun Night

Okay, so... X-Men 3... not bad... I must say... it rocked... all those critics that sit on their fat asses and do nothing but watch movies and pretend to be the best at what is and isn't a good movie... well you can all just go F**k yourselfs... anyway... loved it... true X-Men fans... maybe a little disappointed, but overall, good movie... so then we go to TGI Fridays and just drank the night away.. always a blast... anyway, more pictures of the gang, all mad of course cause we were sitting outside and were a little oily from the heat... but whatever... and even thought the camera has yet to re-size me... I now I have a picture of me and Brian... fun fun... love it! ;-)
