So it has been awhile since I have posted... I could say things have been way busy and no time, but then I would be full of it again. Actually, things have been so slow I want to shoot something! I'm back home in KC for this week and then back to Nashville. Supposedly once July is over things are supposed to pick up again, and then come October life will be crazy again, I can only hope, as without the crazy good stress, I don't seem to function as well. Just to piss most of you off, my days have consisted of getting up around 8am, getting into work around 9ish or so and then hanging out until about 2:30... then going home. I know... poor Trevor, but those of you that know me know that it is driving me nuts.
The guys were in town this past weekend and that was a lot of fun. We went down to Lynchburg and toured the Jack Daniel's Distillery, a lot of fun. Then we went white-water rafting on Saturday... first time for all of us (Andrew, Jason, Doug and Me) and I LOVED IT! We have decided to make it an annual guys weekend thing, so next year we are off to Colorado and will visit Andrew and go rafting there. Can't wait until next June.
Well that is about it ya'll. Hope everyone that won't be here in KC has a great 4th of July... and I just checked and the rain has cleared for Wednesday, at least as of today, will see what tomorrow brings... I'll post pictures of the rafting trip as soon as we get them! ;-) - Oh, and YES, I was one of those people this past Friday standing in line for hours (3.5 to be exact) to get the new iPhone! I LOVE IT!

Wisdom Teeth are EVIL!!!
Okay, so I wake up at like 5am on Thursday with this pain in my mouth... WTF!!! So I get up and around and go look in the mirror and what do I see, some stupid Wisdom tooth thought it would be a good idea to come in all the sudden and piss off all my other teeth by pushing against it and causing pain. I know what your thinking, it isn't that one tooth's fault it is pissing all the rest off, but I got news for you, if that is what you are thinking then you are a dumb ass! Of course it is that single tooth's fault!
Okay, so I call the dentist right, those shitheads cannot get me in to see anyone until the 13th of June... so now I have to be in a bad mood for the next 2 weeks... so here I was on Thursday being pissed off and in pain, so I figured I should go shopping and cheer myself up... funny how buying material objects can make you feel so much better... :-)
So I'm going to the stores right and trying to think of something I can buy as a temporary emotional high, when I see it... oh yes... it was so beautiful sitting there, the colors, the sound, the glory! Oh yes, it had to be mine...
So, after some haggling with the sales guys and multiple false attempts of leaving the store and changing my mind, I bought it... and they delivered it the next day... although the top piece of the furniture was damaged and they have to come out and bring that next week, I'm pretty happy... I took a picture and posted it below of my new toy... I don't think I'll be leaving the house for a few days now, all I need now is a new recliner and I don't think I'll have to ever leave my condo again... ;-)

I Survived!!!
Okay all, so I just lived through my first OFFICIAL tax season at work. I can now finally say that it is over!!! Woo hoo! Drinks this weekend? Hell yes! So things are going well... as my gift to myself I went out today and finally upgraded my vehicle... just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee... ever since I started riding around with my old boss last year I just fell in love with the thing... and is a pretty good step up from my old S10... do I miss it... well let's just say I didn't cry over it. It was a great truck and got me through... but was time to move on... I have some pictures below... So excited... if your looking at this via Facebook click the link below to view the original post. Miss you all and see ya soon! ;-) Home in KC for over a week on business in May! Can't wait! ;-)

iPhone... ummm yes, 2 please!
Okay, so I just got done watching the Key Note speech that was delivered by Steve of Apple, Inc. and I have to admit, I'm sold! The new iPhone that they are going to be releasing in June is going to be amazing... it is going to change the industry! And I want 1!!! Actually going to get 2 in hopes of getting Mom to join me in the digital world... she has learned email... she has mastered checking her Voice Mail and I think she may be ready for the next step! Beyond a smart phone, this thing will replace my need for a phone, iPod, and I won't have to carry the laptop as much either! I found a quick summary video about 4 minutes long that I posted to the blog. Check it out... and although I know you won't be as amazed as I was, yes, I was close to an orgasm, but I'm sure the rest of you will agree, pretty amazing... only downside is it will be partnered exclusively with Cingular due to some of the new features it will bring to the market... but I'm switching!!! :-) But don't worry, I'm going to port the numbers... so no phone number changes... ;-)

For Megan
Okay, so Megan wanted more pictures, so instead I made her a video tour of the new place, then I thought, oh my, if others find out I sent it to Megan (JASON) they might bitch... so... :-) Here is for all to see, I uploaded it to YouTube... after it uploaded though the audio is about 2 seconds behind, so sorry... but good times! :-)

Pre-Pictures of the New Place
Okay, so my momma wanted to see some pictures, so I am posting them since they are so big...

Okay, so this is looking from the front door down the hallway. Basically on the direct right there is a storage/laundry area... then to the left is the first bedroom and there is a connecting full bath... on down the hall on the right is the kitchen and living room... the master bedroom and bath is at the end on the left... directly ahead is the balcony that overlooks the lake and pool.

So this is a picture through the screen of the sliding door in the living room... the masterbedroom also has one to the left that goes out to the balcony. Nice view and should be a good relaxing spot when the winter is over.

This is from the other side of the living room looking back toward the hallway and the kitchen. The kitchen is great and a lot of it is all brand new... maybe I can actually start baking again now that I have the space...

This one is from the living room as well from the hallway... so not that interesting, but thought I would share... can't wait to have everyone come down, plenty of room and will have the guest room setup by summer... Trev

Nashville is starting to grow on me...
Okay, so update, I found a place to live... so excited. I'll post some pictures once I get everything moved... but is a great place. Is on Old Hickory lake which is this big ass lake that is all over here... is a condo that sits lakeside and has a great view... love it! Anyway, so the one thing I have started to like about Nashville that tops KC is the fact that just about any bar or bar & grill that you go to there is live music... and it isn't always just Country music either, it can be rock or whatever... as the people here told me it is just something that is expected at a bar... to not have any live music is like against the unwritten Nashville rule or something... anyway, went out way too much this week drinking... we had one of our field techs come into town this week and she likes to party, so I had to tag along. Lots of fun, and our Divisional meeting is this week so there will be lots more party'n to do... about time... I was turning into a hermit hanging out in this hotel room all the time.
Be home in 6 days! Woo hoo!

Some Pictures, Yes, this is where I work now...
So I thought I would share some pictures so you could all see how spoiled I was in KC at the new WHQ building... I'll admit, the field is not much glamour, but you should have seen this place before Mr. Anal Retentive Trevor showed up...

So when I showed up and saw this room I thought, well this isn't bad at all, but to my surprise, this is the main district training area for the District office that we SHARE with... non of this space was for us... blah... but I do try to hold my staff meetings in here since we have a lot more room....

So this is basically 2/3 of the area we have for the RDC, not including my office. The room was used last year as a tax hotline room, so they figured not a lot of space would be needed. I have to admit, I was not very happy with this at first, but I have learned to deal with what they have given me. I did re-arrange and buy some tables and make them move everything to make it more of an efficient workspace. Afterall, it isn't how much space we have, but how we use it... (only everytime someone is feeling sick I have to hose the whole place down with lysol so no one else gets sick)... We basically have call reps that answer the phone and take calls from the tax offices and try to fix them via remote control or walking them through their problem over the phone... if we cannot fix them, then we send the ticket to my dispatcher and she weeds through about 80 of my field techs and finds one to go out and fix the office...which can be challenging at times. We have the second largest division in the country... consists of about 1004 offices spanning 5 states... fun... I know... NOT!!! :-)

This is the other side of the room. The gal in the red is Kathy. She is my primary dispatcher (meaning she works about 60 hours a week for me and does an amazing job). We call her Momma Kathy... she is a good'old southern gal that makes sure us 'Kids' don't get out of control. She makes me laugh everyday and I really enjoy our smoke breaks...
The guy in the white is Virg... he is the 1 and only field tech that we have for the Nashville Metro area. He covers as my Lead in the evenings and on Saturdays in the RDC. He is a great guy and is always positive, which God knows helps me as I have been trying to adjust to this field side of the company.
The guy on the right is Joel, he is my other Lead. He was a field tech in Michigan for 2 years and came down here to the RDC. He is mainly my right-hand, he works all day during the week and from 9-7 on Saturday's. He is a great resource and kinda like Trevor 2, but not as funny as me, but then again, who is... :-)
The guy behind on the left is Dave. He is a former Tax Pro and is one of my techs. It is great having someone in the office that has actually worked in the tax office. Great resource as well, as he is able to answer those tax/tech questions that none of us know.

This is Emily, she is Joel's (Lead Tech) girlfriend. She moved down with him from Michigan as well. She cracks me up, as she is one of those folks that just says whatever is on her mind, but sounds like she is doing stand-up... she is just so calm and coy when she says things... makes you do a double-take a lot. She is what I call my QA agent. She basically knows all the jobs. She fills in on the Dispatch job for me, and has been covering a lot of the Admin duties while I find a replacement for my previous admin. She always has a smile on her face and her and Joel have made me feel very welcome. She also works there with Joel about 60 hours a week. I'm telling you, I never knew such dedication to the job until I moved out to the field. I have about 14 other folks that work in the RDC, but they were not around on Saturday when I was taking these pictures... :-) Lucky them.

And last but not least this is my office. Kinda odd sized so could only take a side shot, not that any of you care that is. As you can see I have had to piece it together. We are a new facility for this Division and so they didn't really spend a lot of money on us this year... so I do have a desk and file cabinet that I swear was on the titanic, but hey, it works for me... it is my nice quiet escape when things get crazy during the day. Still need to put some pictures and things on the walls, but after I hung my own White Board I bought and it about killed me when I was writing on it, I'm not sure if I am qualified to hang anything else up... ;-)
Well that is the RDC folks, I plan on trying to take some more photos of the city when I get a chance to get out to it... Hope everyone enjoyed this nice boring photo spread... miss everyone! Even those of you at WHQ that I sent this link to... ;-)

They Should Have Just Shut the Whole State Down
Okay, so I got the best laugh of my life this week. So for the past few weekends they have been predicting that we may get some snow here in Nashville, but never a real sure thing... but Thursday they were so sure that we were going to get some... and almost 1 INCH. I know... OMG!! A whole inch of snow! Everyone in my office was freaking out... asking me if they thought I would get mad if they called in on Friday due to the weather... I was like, ummmm... dudes, it is just an inch of snow... so low and behold that night the news comes on. They cancelled EVERY school district in Nashville and the surrounding areas before the snow even hit. Grocery stores were mobbed and cleaned out. People were afraid they would be stuck in their houses for days... I'm not making this up... this was on the news... LOL. So Friday we do get a dusting of snow, everyone is late and freaking out... I mean yeah, they don't get snow very often, but this was not even what I would consider snow, just enough to see some white. Anyway, wanted to share... I think if they got as much snow and ice here as there was in KC a few weeks ago there would be millions dead and they would probably have declared a national emergency... LOL. See ya. Trev

Visit Home is Scheduled
So I am finally coming home, not for long, but at least coming home. My sister and I both were able to find a weekend where we could both come home to KC... still haven't seen her or her family since before the holidays so will give a chance for me to see the rugrats... ;-) I'll be coming home the weekend of Feb. 24th. My plan is to take an early day that Friday and fly home mid-day... much easier than getting into KC at 11pm... that way hopefully I can schedule some time to go out with the friends Friday night, then do some sorting and throwing away of the crap at Jason's on Saturday and then spend Saturday night/Sunday all day with the fam... good times! Anyway, see you all soon, miss everyone lots.

Hotel Life Sucks...
So I'm starting week 4 of hotel life. Doesn't feel like it has been 4 weeks already since I left KC... but I guess it is. The hotel is so annoying though... if any of you remember my first studio apartment, well, this is about the same size... maybe a bit smaller, but pretty close. And the appliances in the kitchen are just as old as the ones that were on the Plaza... fun fun. I was hoping to go driving around this weekend a bit and see what is out there in terms of places to live, but just had enough time to hit Target and a grocery store... after getting lost a couple of times ofcourse. :-) On a lighter note though, the weather in Nashville has been in the high 50s and low 60s all week, and according to the weather, it is going to stay like that... so at least I have that... he he
Well, need to get ready for bed... have to watch Desperate Housewives and then I'm off to bed. I miss everyone so much, but I am hoping to come home soon, maybe another month or so. Anyway, goodtimes... ;-) Trev
